Emma’s argument is well worth the read, but the part that resonated with me the most was the bit about engagement and entitlement. Here’s the thing, folks: you can say or write whatever you like, but that doesn’t impose a corresponding obligation on anyone else to listen, engage, or otherwise pay attention to you.
